Thursday Aug 27th : v3. Big update! Analysis, Data Exploration, Catalog, Facelift
We have made a number of key improvements to the way Huck internally interacts with data.
Internal dataframe. Huck now persists a dataframe of query results. This data can be worked upon further. This unlocks many exciting future capabilities. In essence, Huck has his own excel workbook to figure out the answer before he replies.
Analysis. Now that results are output to a dataframe, Huck can create new derived data from the original source. We are continuing to improve this capability and expect the ceiling of what Huck can do to lift quickly.
Data Exploration. Huck now has much improved tools for exploring and understand the data sources he has access to. Using the catalog metadata improvements from the previous update, he has a much stronger sense of the business meaning and technical meaning of the data in any given set, how to navigate it and how to use in in conjunction with other sets of data.
Catalog & Glossary Access. We have now enabled users to interact with the catalog to see what huck understands about your data and the tools to update and improve it. If Huck didn't understand what the data meant, you can now add the specifics of what the data means. The Glossary is a collection of defined terms that Huck uses in reference to all data sources to understand the specific terms of your industry or business.

Thursday Jul 30th - Decline Response clarity
We have improved what Huck will communicate when they are unable to answer. Previously, this returned a canned, generic response. Which was, in hindsight, somewhat annoying.
Now, he will communicate the reason for the decline in plain terms. EG:
Q: What was our total revenue in June 2005?
A: I don't have any revenue data for June 2005. The data returned null, which means there are no sales records in the system for that period. Grow Solution's current data coverage appears to start much later — the system has data from 2024 forward. June 2005 is over 20 years ago, well before the current data infrastructure was in place. If you're looking for historical context or need to compare against an older baseline, I can show you June 2024 or June 2025 performance instead. What would be most helpful?
This should help us & Data teams understand where there are gaps between user needs, available data, and Huck's feature set.
Tuesday July 28 - Data Navigation
We have been making improvements to the table and field selection process. We have changed our approach here, which has produced good results, but it remains a work in progress. Most recent failures stem from the need for more sophisticated data source selection.
This work has two tracks:
* Catalog. Improving how metadata and context for Huck is structured and transferring existing information into this new format. This is work in progress and continues table-by-table.
* Workflow. The new Catalog format is easier for Huck to understand, but requires changes to how this information is passed to Huck at each step of the workflow.
Our goal is that if Huck cannot find information that is available, it is because the catalog context needs attention, and not due to any workflow or structural limitations.
Expected impact: We anticipate Huck will be better at finding data. Less likely to decline due to 'missing data'.

Friday, July 17 — Catalog & Glossary
Catalog and Glossary are now available in the app for teams with Catalog access.
Catalog — browse and search the data Huck can use. See how well each table is described, open table details (descriptions, business context, columns, and example questions), and help improve what Huck knows about your data. Learn more: Using the Catalog.
Glossary — define the business terms and abbreviations your team uses (for example FOB or crop year). Huck uses these definitions when interpreting questions so answers match your company's language. Learn more: Using the Glossary.
Suggest a change — if you don't have edit access, you can still suggest updates to table details or glossary terms for your admins to review.
Find them in the sidebar under Catalog, or go straight to Glossary with Catalog → Glossary.
Huck improvements
Ask Huck on your phone. You can use app.huckleberrysignals.ai from your phone. See Using Huck from your Phone.
Faster, more reliable answers from Huck. We improved how Huck understands your questions and picks the right data, so answers are more accurate and consistent.
"Verify this yourself" details. Huck can now show you exactly how it arrived at an answer — including a step-by-step recipe you can follow — so you can double-check the numbers.
Refresh suggested questions. A new refresh button lets you cycle through suggested questions to explore your data.
Better date awareness. Huck now knows today's date and describes past data periods correctly, so time-based answers are easier to trust.
Clearer breakdown answers. When Huck breaks results down by customer, product, region, or other dimensions, the summary is easier to read and less cluttered.
More trustworthy responses. We fixed cases where internal system messages could appear in user-facing answers.
Smarter preference handling. Your standing preferences (like default metrics or detail level) work more reliably alongside specific requests.
Memory calibration. Huck now weighs what it remembers by how you saved it — explicit corrections and preferences count more than quick inferences.
Smarter memory decay. Standing instructions and preferences fade slowly over time; situational facts fade faster, so Huck stays current without forgetting what matters to you.
Security & compliance
We're advancing our security and compliance program with controls aligned with SOC 2 standards:
Reviewed, traceable releases. Every change to production goes through peer review, automated testing, and is tagged so we know exactly what shipped and when.
Continuous vulnerability monitoring. Deployed software is scanned automatically for known security issues, with alerts when action is needed.
Reduced attack surface. We locked down services that do not need to be reachable from the public internet.
Keyless authentication. Automated systems authenticate without long-lived credentials stored in code or configuration.
Independent security assessment. We completed remediation for findings from our June penetration test, including enforced content security protections on the web app.
Platform
System status page. Check real-time platform health anytime at status.huckleberrysignals.ai — including the web app and Huck API.
Performance improvements. Behind-the-scenes speed and caching improvements make the app quicker to load.
Mobile app reliability. The Huck mobile web app stays in sync with platform updates so answers stay consistent on your phone.

Clearer date and filter explanations. Huck now shows which dates and filters it used to answer your question, and removes duplicate date ranges for a cleaner view.
Live progress while Huck works. For more complex questions, you'll see a step-by-step timeline so you know what Huck is doing.
Smarter suggested questions. Suggested questions are now tailored to your organization, with reliable fallbacks if none are available.
Simplified experience. We streamlined the interface by hiding advanced controls that most users don't need.
Security hardening. We added additional protections including App Check, stronger security headers (Content-Security-Policy), and resolved third-party dependency advisories.
May 2026
Improved reliability and protection. We moved API traffic behind additional network protection for better uptime and security.
Ongoing maintenance. Routine dependency and security updates across the platform.
